I think actually the only big lack in blend is the Visual Studio Intellisense. It’s the main reason I have to switch often to Visual Studio.

Thanks Peter, I really appreciate your comments. As a developer I had the same daunting experience with Blend 2. I had to invest personal time to ramp up on the tool.

Hello Corey, I think you are right on the mark about Blend being the best introduction to Silverlight — at least I felt I could realize the possibilites better that way when I was starting out. But for many ‘regular developers’ I’ve found that Blend can be a little daunting and your article nicely boils it down to a few essentials that can help make it seem a little less intimidating, while getting someone new up to speed more quickly.
